The Nebraska track and field team will send a crew of athletes to Kansas State for the KSU Nike Invite, Saturday, to put the final touches on its events before hosting the Big 12 Conference Championships at the Bob Devaney Sports Center next weekend.
The Huskers will compete against athletes from schools such as Kansas State, Kansas, Wichita State, Missouri, Fort Hays State, Emporia State, and a few junior college teams. The meet will begin with field events at 11 a.m. and running events will get underway at 1 p.m.
Nebraska is coming off another spectacular weekend at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational. In the meet, NU recorded 35 season-best performances, including three NCAA automatic-qualifying marks and 12 provisional marks.
