Ames, Iowa -- The Nebraska swimming and diving team fell to Iowa State Saturday afternoon, 163-126. The Huskers captured a pair of individual wins, as well as a relay victory in the meet.

 

Freshman Amie Buoy, who finished second on the three-meter springboard Friday at Nebraska-Omaha, took home first on the three meter against the Cyclones with a score of 272.25.

 

In the 200-yard individual medley, freshman Courtney Peterson took home the only other individual win for the Huskers, as she touched the wall in 2:10.50 to finish first.

 

The NU 200-yard freestyle relay was also victorious. The Huskers (Angie Matheu, Kate Dulgar, Danielle Erickson, Diana Torres) finished the race in 1:39.01.

 

NU also added seven runner-up finishes. Freshman Mackenzie Clark touched the wall in 17:25.44 to place second in the 1,650-yard freestyle, while fellow freshman Danielle Erickson finished second in the 200-yard backstroke (2:09.48). Sophomore Diana Torres (200-yard butterfly, 2:07.16) and junior Laura Landgreen (100-yard butterfly, 1:04.04) also took second in their events. NU
