2009 Outlook
Tight end Jake Long joins the Nebraska program after putting up impressive numbers for Elkhorn High School and Coach Mark Wortman. Long, whose twin brother, Spencer, is also playing for Nebraska this year, competed both ways for the 7-3 Antlers. He was a second-team All-Nebraska pick as a tight end by the Omaha World-Herald, while the Lincoln Journal Star placed him on its second-team Super State squad as a defensive lineman. Long earned honorable-mention all-state honors from the World-Herald during his junior season. He also played for the Antlers' 2008 state championship baseball team.
