Metro Stars, hitting .453 with 14 homers and 59 RBIs • Earned five letters from Rampart High School, including three in baseball and two in hockey, when he lettered as a freshman and a sophomore • Selected first-team academic all-state as a senior after earning second-team honors in 2001 and 2002 • Also looked at Central Arizona College, Arizona State and the Air Force Academy before choosing to become a Husker.
