2010 Outlook
Junior Ryan Hill is part of a deep and talented group of returning tight ends in the Nebraska program. At 6-3 and 255 pounds Hill has shown the ability to provide a physical presence as a perimeter blocker, but he also has the receiving skills to help the Huskers in the passing game. With the depth at tight end and his blocking prowess, Hill spent much of spring ball working at fullback where he could also line up this fall.

In addition to his offensive role, Hill has also regularly served on Nebraska's kickoff return unit. Hill is also a standout in the classroom and has earned first-team academic All-Big 12 honors each of the past two years.

2009 (Sophomore)
Hill played in 13 games and caught two passes for eight yards. He had a seven-yard catch at Arkansas State, and nabbed a one-yard touchdown in the second quarter against Oklahoma, for the only touchdown in a 10-3 win. Hill also had a tackle at Missouri.

2008 (Redshirt Freshman)
Hill played in all 13 games and had three catches for nine yards, including a six-yard TD against Baylor. He also had two catches for three yards against Missouri.

2007 (Redshirt)
Hill redshirted and worked on the scout team in his first season in Lincoln.

Before Nebraska (Arvada West HS)
Hill was a versatile player for Coach Casey Coons at Arvada West High School, working at tight end and also serving as the team's punter. Hill was often split out wide as a senior and caught 42 passes for 924 yards with seven touchdown grabs. He posted similar numbers as a junior, hauling in 44 passes for nearly 900 yards and an impressive 15 touchdowns, helping his team to a 10-3 record and a state semifinal appearance.

Hill was named all-conference both his junior and senior years and was an all-state pick as a senior. In addition to excelling at the tight end position, Hill averaged 42.8 yards per punt as a senior and was an All-Colorado selection as a punter.

Hill's athletic accomplishments were not limited to the gridiron. He was a standout on the baseball team as a pitcher and third baseman. Hill was one of Nebraska's first commitments in the 2007 class, and did not take any additional visits.
